To download ePocrates Rx 6.0 (complimentary or Pro version) and the Physicians Plus and/or Meriter formularies, please review and click on the "User Category" (A-C) below that best applies to you.

User Category Category A: I have never visited the ePocrates website. Category B: I have visited the ePocrates.com website and registered, but never downloaded any of the applications, or if this is a new (or recently re-set) handheld device. Category C: I have the ePocrates Rx program but not the Physicians Plus formularies on my handheld device.

If you experience problems downloading the program, please visit the ePocrates support web site at www.epocrates.com/support/ for additional assistance.

Category A: (Please read through steps 1-3 before clicking on the link in step 1.)

1. Go to www.epocrates.com/registration/registration.cfm and register.
2. After registering, you will proceed to the page where you can download the ePocrates Rx Pro 6.0 (fee-based) or ePocrates Rx 6.0 (complimentary). Scroll down, locate, and click the "Download" link of the product you wish to use.
3. Follow directions to complete the download and installation. NOTE: In most cases, the downloading process requires three HotSync operations. The first operation takes approximately 20 minutes and installs the "Auto Update" to your handheld device. Subsequent HotSync operations complete much quicker. The entire process requires between 30-45 minutes. Before the third HotSync, you can choose the formularies you want downloaded. Scroll down and select the Physicians Plus Formulary (both Two-tier and Three-tier plans*) and Meriter formulary. Each formulary requires about 12K of memory on your handheld.

Category B: (Please read through steps 1-6 before clicking on the link in step 1.)

1. Go to www.epocrates.com, locate the "My Profile" link at the top of the page and click on that link.
2. Enter your username and password, and ensure that you are registered in the system. If you are registered (an edit window with your registration information should appear), click on the "Products" area at the top of the web page. If you are not registered, please follow the directions listed in Category A above.
3. At the next screen, scroll down, locate the ePocrates Rx Pro 6.0 (fee-based) or ePocrates Rx 6.0 (complimentary), and click the "Download" link of the product you wish to choose.
4. At the next screen, scroll down and click on the "Download Now" link of the product you wish to use.
5. At the next screen, follow the directions to complete the download and installation. When asked, "What would you like to do with this file", click on "Save this program to disk", and then "OK". At this time, note on what hard drive disk you will make the installation as you may need to return to this folder to install the program.

1. Go to www.epocrates.com, locate the "Add Formularies" link at the top of the page and click on that link.
2. Enter your username and password.
3. Select the formularies you wish to add by selecting the state where the formulary is based in. For example, select "Wisconsin" and "Health Plans" to obtain the Physicians Plus formularies (both Two-tier and Three-tier plans) and "Hospitals" to select the "Meriter Hospital Formulary".
4. Highlight the formularies you wish to choose and click on the "Add to my list" button. Then click on the red "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
5. You will then be directed to HotSync to your PDA to obtain the formularies you have selected. NOTE: Each formulary requires about 12K of memory on your handheld.

*Two-tier and Three-tier drug plans are distinguished on each member's Physicians Plus Membership Card. Two-tier Plan: Generic Copay (formulary code = 1) or Brand Copay (formulary code = 2) for formulary products. Non-formulary products are excluded (formulary code = N) (e.g., $5 generic copay or $10 brand copay). Three-tier Plan: Generic Copay (formulary code = 1) or Brand Copay (formulary code = 2) for formulary products and 50% Coinsurance for non-formulary products (formulary code = 3) (e.g., $5 generic copay, $20 brand copay, or 50% of a $70 prescription = $35). Prior Authorization Medications (formulary code = PA). Prior authorization (PA) criteria have been included for each of the PA drugs on the Physicians Plus formulary.
