Expansive Provider Network
Approximately 2,000 health care providers and 21 participating hospitals make up the Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation provider network, with access to service in 15 counties throughout south-central Wisconsin. Physicians Plus members have access to Meriter Hospital, UW Hospital and Clinics, UW Health, Associated Physicians LLP, Wisconsin Heart, and many more. Wellness Focus
From our Good Health Bonus program that reimburses members up to $100 for healthy living classes, to our Plus Perks program that offers members discounts on healthy living products and services, Physicians Plus is always working to add value to our plan and improve the health of our members.
Some groups may qualify for employer wellness programs, with services such as on-site flu shot clinics and health fairs, and classes such as tobacco cessation or weight loss tailored to meet the needs of your employees. Ask your group service representative for more information.
24/7 Resources
GO-TO.
This on-line tool lets you access your health plan account to view, update and print a range of features. Employers can download rosters, add or term subscribers or dependents, verify new enrollees, and more. Members can view benefit information, claim, authorization and referral status, update personal information, change their PCP, and order replacement ID cards.
NursePlus Call Line.
Members can talk with a registered nurse about any health care issue from anywhere, day or night. In addition, members can tap the NursePlus audio message center and access any of over 700 medical topics ranging from acne to snakebites.
Subrogation
For subrogation, Physicians Plus business partner Ingenix will pend all claims with a diagnosis common to accident or work-related conditions. Ingenix will then contact the member either by telephone or mail to request information to facilitate subrogation against the responsible party.
Upon request, Ingenix will provide the employer group with an annual report, which breaks down the financial recoveries for subrogation efforts. Work-related claims are an exclusion; employees should refer to their medical certificate for more details.
